The latest government statistics have revealed that the same volume of smart meter installations were installed in smaller non-domestic sites in Q2 2017 as in the previous quarter.
Issued on 31 August, the government revealed that 13,800 smart and advanced meters had been installed in smaller non-domestic sites by large energy suppliers – 8,500 of these being advanced meters. As of 30 June 2017, around 759,500 smart and advanced meters are estimated to have been installed in smaller non-domestic sites by large energy suppliers.
There are now a total of 2.5mn meters being operated by large energy suppliers in smaller non-domestic sites across Great Britain. Around one quarter of all non-domestic meters currently operated by large energy suppliers are smart meters, advanced meters operating in smart mode, or meters with advanced functionality.
